The Silent War In The Church

Jesus prayed for us in His church in the following way: "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:" (John 17:20-22, NIV)  And, yet, we see so much disunity in the church today—the many denominations, church splits, church wars, factions of all types, and divisions between individual Christians.  What is the cause of the disunity and what can we do to fulfill Jesus' prayer for us?  This book, titled The Silent War in the Church is an attempt to answer these two questions.  It is my observations based on my study of the Bible on the subject and fifty years of ministry in the church.
