With God's life, we can go from a selfish-life to Christ's life.
1. How many of the following have become true for you since you became a Christian?
_____You have had times when you felt like the pastor was speaking right to you. _____You now know that the Bible is God's book. _____You believe that the Bible describes the world the way it really is. _____You believe that the invisible persons the Bible speak about are real (God, angels, Satan, and demons). _____You believe that what the Bible prophesies and predicts will happen. _____You understand and believe is true what most of the world does not believe is true.

2. Consider these words from I Corinthians 2:12-16:  "We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ."

3. God's Spirit gives us the ability to see and understand things about God that the world is blind to and thinks is foolishness.

4. How should this affect our Bible reading and Bible studying? (Remember the Bible is His Spirit-directed Word)  What is something new from God's word that God has revealed to you lately?
