                                  EVANGELISM*

1. Jesus described His mission in these words: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:10)

2. Jesus gave us the following mission: "go and make disciples of all nations." (Matthew 28:18).  He told His early followers: "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to all the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

3. Paul asked prayer for open doors for the gospel message:  "And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly." (Colossians 4:3,4)

4. Peter gives this command to all followers of Jesus Christ: "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have…" (I Peter 2:15)

5. Have you had any opportunities to share your faith with someone lately?  Are there those you are praying for?  Who are those that you have an opportunity to be a witness to?

6. Are you ready to share the gospel when the opportunity does come?  Which of the following do you need to do so that you will be more effective in fulfilling Jesus commission to us to reach our world with the gospel message: (1) learn a gospel presentation (  ).  (2) Memorize verses in the Bible that you can use in sharing the gospel (  ).  (3) Pray that God will open doors for you to share the
gospel (  ).  (4) Develop relationships with non-Christians (  ).

Matthew 28:19,20 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the earth."
